Buy Dusky Lorikeet in Madikeri, Karnataka

What is listed for Madikeri is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Dusky Lorikeet you asked for and hear about it in six months.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Dusky Lorikeet.

Health records you should insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Dusky Lorikeet; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds For a Dusky Lorikeet that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.

Is a Dusky Lorikeet a sensible choice for you in Madikeri?

You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small bird in a Madikeri apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a small bird, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Dusky Lorikeet are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.

What a Dusky Lorikeet costs in Madikeri

Between ₹62,167 and ₹62,167 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Dusky Lorikeet costs more up front and less in the first months.

What you will pay

Expect ₹62,167 upward, to around ₹62,167. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Health and handover

Every Dusky Lorikeet is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
