Buy Dusky Lorikeet in Hunasagi, Karnataka
We place across Hunasagi and the wider Karnataka region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Dusky Lorikeet; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Weather, coat and the Karnataka year
mild tropical plateau, and the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Feeding a small bird without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A small breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
Is a Dusky Lorikeet a sensible choice for you in Hunasagi?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Dusky Lorikeet placements in Hunasagi than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Dusky Lorikeet.
What a Dusky Lorikeet costs in Hunasagi
Between ₹62,167 and ₹62,167 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Dusky Lorikeet costs more up front and less in the first months.
Dusky Lorikeet price, and the cost after it
₹62,167 to ₹62,167 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Dusky Lorikeet without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Dusky Lorikeet is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Dusky Lorikeet in Hunasagi: local climate
Hunasagi is hottest in April, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Dusky Lorikeet needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 15°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in September.
For a new Dusky Lorikeet bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, June, July, August, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 35 | 38 | 40 | 40 | 34 | 32 | 31 | 31 | 31 | 31 | 31 |
| Low °C | 15 | 18 | 22 | 25 | 26 | 23 | 22 | 22 | 22 | 20 | 17 | 15 |
| Rain mm | 2 | 2 | 13 | 24 | 43 | 80 | 93 | 98 | 133 | 74 | 18 | 3 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
