Buy Dusky Lorikeet in Adoni, Andhra Pradesh
We place across Adoni and the wider Andhra Pradesh region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Feeding a small bird without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Dusky Lorikeet will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Is a Dusky Lorikeet a sensible choice for you in Adoni?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Dusky Lorikeet will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Adoni without much drama.
Weather, coat and the Andhra Pradesh year
moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips For a Dusky Lorikeet that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a small bird, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Dusky Lorikeet are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Dusky Lorikeet reads consistency as safety, and a settled bird learns faster.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Dusky Lorikeet is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.
What you will pay
Expect ₹62,167 upward, to around ₹62,167. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Dusky Lorikeet in Adoni: local climate
Adoni is hottest in April, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Dusky Lorikeet needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 16°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in September.
For a new Dusky Lorikeet bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, June, July, August, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 35 | 38 | 40 | 39 | 33 | 32 | 31 | 30 | 30 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 16 | 18 | 21 | 25 | 26 | 23 | 22 | 22 | 22 | 20 | 18 | 16 |
| Rain mm | 4 | 2 | 14 | 23 | 61 | 84 | 96 | 102 | 147 | 87 | 22 | 3 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Your week with a Dusky Lorikeet, reduced to what actually matters.

- Balcony: grilles up before the Dusky Lorikeet comes home.
