We place across Kothamangalam and the wider Kerala region. If a large dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Boxer Puppy; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the dog lobbies. A Boxer Puppy that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 10-12 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Boxer Puppy reads consistency as safety, and a settled dog learns faster.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new large dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important For a Boxer Puppy that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
Is a Boxer Puppy a sensible choice for you in Kothamangalam?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Boxer Puppy placements in Kothamangalam than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
Boxer Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹26,995 to ₹26,995 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Boxer Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Boxer in Kothamangalam: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 34°C. That is manageable for a Boxer, but watch it closely because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 23°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to October, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Boxer puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to January: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 33 | 34 | 33 | 31 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 29 | 30 |
| Low °C | 23 | 24 | 26 | 26 | 27 | 26 | 25 | 25 | 25 | 25 | 25 | 23 |
| Rain mm | 4 | 8 | 28 | 88 | 226 | 589 | 565 | 409 | 275 | 251 | 122 | 25 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Boxer Puppy
Your week with a Boxer Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Boxer Puppy comes home.
