What is listed for Devikulam is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Rottweiler Puppy you asked for and hear about it in six months.
What a Rottweiler Puppy costs in Devikulam
The purchase is the small number. Over 10-12 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Rottweiler Puppy without mentioning that is selling, not advising.
Is a Rottweiler Puppy a sensible choice for you in Devikulam?
You are choosing a 10-12 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A large dog in a Devikulam apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new large dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the dog lobbies. A Rottweiler Puppy that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 10-12 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important For a Rottweiler Puppy that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Rottweiler Puppy; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Rottweiler Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹27,992 to ₹27,992 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Rottweiler Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Rottweiler in Devikulam: local climate
The city sits at about 1,594 m above sea level, so it runs cooler than the plains around it.
Summers here are mild, peaking at about 26°C in March, so heat is rarely the problem for a Rottweiler that it is on the plains.
Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 10°C.
The rainy season runs from May to November, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Rottweiler puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to April: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 21 | 25 | 26 | 25 | 22 | 19 | 18 | 19 | 19 | 20 | 20 | 20 |
| Low °C | 10 | 11 | 13 | 15 | 15 | 15 | 14 | 14 | 14 | 14 | 13 | 11 |
| Rain mm | 12 | 24 | 47 | 107 | 217 | 334 | 291 | 245 | 231 | 312 | 171 | 38 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Rottweiler Puppy
A practical checklist for a large dog in a Devikulam flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a family friendly breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
