We place across Mavala and the wider Telangana region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Weather, coat and the Telangana year
The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a small bird notices both. the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Dusky Lorikeet will barely register the change.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Dusky Lorikeet that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 5-15 Years is easier.
Is a Dusky Lorikeet a sensible choice for you in Mavala?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Dusky Lorikeet placements in Mavala than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Dusky Lorikeet; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.

Raising a Dusky Lorikeet in Mavala: local climate
Mavala is hottest in May, averaging 43°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Dusky Lorikeet needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 13°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from June to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Dusky Lorikeet bird, the easiest months to arrive are October to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 30 | 34 | 38 | 42 | 43 | 36 | 31 | 30 | 30 | 30 | 29 | 29 |
| Low °C | 14 | 17 | 22 | 26 | 29 | 26 | 24 | 23 | 23 | 20 | 16 | 13 |
| Rain mm | 12 | 8 | 19 | 13 | 18 | 157 | 268 | 233 | 162 | 55 | 10 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
