Buy Yellow Naped Amazon in Mettur, Tamil Nadu
We place across Mettur and the wider Tamil Nadu region. If a medium bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Weather, coat and the Tamil Nadu year
The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a medium bird notices both. moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Yellow Naped Amazon will barely register the change.
Is a Yellow Naped Amazon a sensible choice for you in Mettur?
You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A medium bird in a Mettur apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Yellow Naped Amazon arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Yellow Naped Amazon; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a medium bird, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Yellow Naped Amazon are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
Feeding a medium bird without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Yellow Naped Amazon will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Yellow Naped Amazon price, and the cost after it
₹94,020 to ₹94,020 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Yellow Naped Amazon without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Yellow Naped Amazon in Mettur: local climate
Mettur is hottest in April, averaging 39°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to April. A Yellow Naped Amazon needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 18°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in October.
For a new Yellow Naped Amazon bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, June, July, August, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 35 | 38 | 39 | 36 | 34 | 33 | 33 | 32 | 31 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 18 | 20 | 23 | 25 | 25 | 24 | 23 | 23 | 23 | 22 | 20 | 18 |
| Rain mm | 3 | 5 | 18 | 56 | 95 | 60 | 78 | 91 | 125 | 148 | 88 | 24 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
