Buy Senegal Parrot in Kozhikode, Kerala
We place across Kozhikode and the wider Kerala region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a small bird, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Senegal Parrot are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
Is a Senegal Parrot a sensible choice for you in Kozhikode?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Senegal Parrot will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Kozhikode without much drama.
What a Senegal Parrot costs in Kozhikode
Between ₹42,931 and ₹42,931 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Senegal Parrot costs more up front and less in the first months.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a small Senegal Parrot to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the bird already has one place it considers its own.
Health records you should insist on
Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Senegal Parrot names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
coastal tropical, and the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
What you will pay
Expect ₹42,931 upward, to around ₹42,931. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Senegal Parrot in Kozhikode: local climate
Summers here are mild, peaking at about 32°C in March, so heat is rarely the problem for a Senegal Parrot that it is on the plains.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 25°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to October, and June is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Senegal Parrot bird, the easiest months to arrive are December to April: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
