Buy Scarlet Macaw in Kozhikode, Kerala

What is listed for Kozhikode is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Scarlet Macaw you asked for and hear about it in six months.

Weather, coat and the Kerala year

coastal tropical, and the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

What a Scarlet Macaw costs in Kozhikode

Expect ₹298,026 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.

Feeding a large bird without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A large breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a large bird, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Scarlet Macaw are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.

Is a Scarlet Macaw a sensible choice for you in Kozhikode?

You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A large bird in a Kozhikode apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Settling in with children and other pets

Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Scarlet Macaw is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.

What you will pay

Expect ₹298,026 upward, to around ₹298,026. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
