Buy Yellow Naped Amazon in Uttara Kannada, Karnataka
We place across Uttara Kannada and the wider Karnataka region. If a medium bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new medium bird entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a medium Yellow Naped Amazon to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the bird already has one place it considers its own.
Is a Yellow Naped Amazon a sensible choice for you in Uttara Kannada?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Yellow Naped Amazon placements in Uttara Kannada than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Yellow Naped Amazon; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Yellow Naped Amazon that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 5-15 Years is easier.
What a Yellow Naped Amazon costs in Uttara Kannada
Between ₹94,020 and ₹94,020 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Yellow Naped Amazon costs more up front and less in the first months.
Yellow Naped Amazon price, and the cost after it
₹94,020 to ₹94,020 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Yellow Naped Amazon without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Yellow Naped Amazon is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a medium bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Yellow Naped Amazon in Uttara Kannada: local climate
Summer here peaks in April at about 32°C. That is manageable for a Yellow Naped Amazon: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 21°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from June to October, and July is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Yellow Naped Amazon bird, the easiest months to arrive are November to May: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 29 | 30 | 32 | 32 | 31 | 28 | 27 | 27 | 27 | 28 | 29 | 29 |
| Low °C | 21 | 22 | 24 | 25 | 26 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 21 |
| Rain mm | 1 | 2 | 12 | 27 | 108 | 715 | 795 | 606 | 350 | 189 | 46 | 5 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Yellow Naped Amazon
Your week with a Yellow Naped Amazon, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the bird properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Yellow Naped Amazon comes home.
