Buy Dusky Lorikeet in Tirthahalli, Karnataka

We place across Tirthahalli and the wider Karnataka region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Do not introduce a small Dusky Lorikeet to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the bird already has one place it considers its own.

Settling in with children and other pets

Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Dusky Lorikeet is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Dusky Lorikeet names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.

Feeding a small bird without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A small breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a small bird, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Dusky Lorikeet are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

moderate Deccan, and the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

What you will pay

Expect ₹62,167 upward, to around ₹62,167. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
