Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Sun Conure comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Rajajinagar flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Is a Sun Conure a sensible choice for you in Rajajinagar?

Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Sun Conure will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Rajajinagar without much drama.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Sun Conure names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a small bird notices both. the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Sun Conure will barely register the change.

Feeding a small bird without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A small breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Sun Conure reads consistency as safety, and a settled bird learns faster.

What you will pay

Expect ₹10,890 upward, to around ₹10,890. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
