Buy Hahn's Macaw in Nargund, Karnataka
What is listed for Nargund is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Hahn's Macaw you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Is a Hahn's Macaw a sensible choice for you in Nargund?
You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small bird in a Nargund apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.
Feeding a small bird without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the bird lobbies. A Hahn's Macaw that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 5-15 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new small bird entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a small Hahn's Macaw to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the bird already has one place it considers its own.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Hahn's Macaw that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 5-15 Years is easier.
Weather, coat and the Karnataka year
pleasant semi-tropical, and the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Hahn's Macaw price, and the cost after it
₹64,953 to ₹64,953 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Hahn's Macaw without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Hahn's Macaw is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Hahn's Macaw in Nargund: local climate
Nargund is hottest in April, averaging 38°C in the afternoon. A Hahn's Macaw needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 15°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in September.
For a new Hahn's Macaw bird, the easiest months to arrive are June to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 34 | 37 | 38 | 36 | 30 | 29 | 29 | 29 | 29 | 29 | 30 |
| Low °C | 15 | 17 | 20 | 23 | 23 | 22 | 21 | 20 | 20 | 19 | 17 | 15 |
| Rain mm | 1 | 2 | 15 | 36 | 64 | 95 | 112 | 113 | 119 | 86 | 29 | 4 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
