Buy Yellow Monk in Nargund, Karnataka

We place across Nargund and the wider Karnataka region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the Yellow Monk arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Yellow Monk.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Yellow Monk comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Nargund flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

What a Yellow Monk costs in Nargund

Between ₹28,933 and ₹28,933 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Yellow Monk costs more up front and less in the first months.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Yellow Monk names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a small bird notices both. comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Yellow Monk will barely register the change.

What you will pay

Expect ₹28,933 upward, to around ₹28,933. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
