What is listed for Kothnur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Cockatiel you asked for and hear about it in six months.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Cockatiel comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Kothnur flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Cockatiel.

Feeding a small bird without guesswork

Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the bird lobbies. A Cockatiel that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 15-20 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.

Is a Cockatiel a sensible choice for you in Kothnur?

You are choosing a 15-20 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small bird in a Kothnur apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Cockatiel names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

pleasant semi-tropical, and the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

Cockatiel price, and the cost after it

₹4,255 to ₹4,255 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Cockatiel without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
