Is a Budgies a sensible choice for you in Kothnur?

You are choosing a 5-10 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A tiny bird in a Kothnur apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the Budgies arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.

Feeding a tiny bird without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A tiny breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Budgies names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Budgies comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Kothnur flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a tiny bird notices both. the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Budgies will barely register the change.

Budgies price, and the cost after it

₹1,250 to ₹1,250 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Budgies without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
