Buy Blue & Gold Macaw in Kothnur, Karnataka

What is listed for Kothnur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Blue & Gold Macaw you asked for and hear about it in six months.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

mild tropical plateau, and comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Do not introduce a large Blue & Gold Macaw to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the bird already has one place it considers its own.

Feeding a large bird without guesswork

Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Blue & Gold Macaw will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Blue & Gold Macaw comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Kothnur flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Is a Blue & Gold Macaw a sensible choice for you in Kothnur?

Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Blue & Gold Macaw will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Kothnur without much drama.

Settling in with children and other pets

Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new large bird entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.

What you will pay

Expect ₹130,187 upward, to around ₹130,187. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Health and handover

Every Blue & Gold Macaw is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a large bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
