We place across Kengeri and the wider Karnataka region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Hahn's Macaw comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Kengeri flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a small bird notices both. the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Hahn's Macaw will barely register the change.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Hahn's Macaw reads consistency as safety, and a settled bird learns faster.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Hahn's Macaw names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.

Settling in with children and other pets

Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Hahn's Macaw is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.

Is a Hahn's Macaw a sensible choice for you in Kengeri?

Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Hahn's Macaw will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Kengeri without much drama.

What you will pay

Expect ₹64,953 upward, to around ₹64,953. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
