We place across Kathriguppe and the wider Karnataka region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Health records you should insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Dusky Lorikeet; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Dusky Lorikeet.

What a Dusky Lorikeet costs in Kathriguppe

The purchase is the small number. Over 5-15 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Dusky Lorikeet without mentioning that is selling, not advising.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a small bird, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Dusky Lorikeet are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a small bird notices both. comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Dusky Lorikeet will barely register the change.

Settling in with children and other pets

Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new small bird entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.

What you will pay

Expect ₹62,167 upward, to around ₹62,167. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
