Buy African Grey Parrot in Cox Town, Karnataka

What is listed for Cox Town is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the African Grey Parrot you asked for and hear about it in six months.

What a African Grey Parrot costs in Cox Town

Expect ₹67,146 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new African Grey Parrot.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the African Grey Parrot arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds For a African Grey Parrot that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.

Feeding a medium bird without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A medium breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a medium bird, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young African Grey Parrot are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.

What you will pay

Expect ₹67,146 upward, to around ₹67,146. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
