Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Blue Sided will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Blue Sided that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 5-15 Years is easier.

Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Blue Sided will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Banashankari without much drama.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a small bird notices both. comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Blue Sided will barely register the change.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the Blue Sided arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.
