What is listed for Lakkireddipalli is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Dusky Lorikeet you asked for and hear about it in six months.
What a Dusky Lorikeet costs in Lakkireddipalli
Between ₹62,167 and ₹62,167 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Dusky Lorikeet costs more up front and less in the first months.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Dusky Lorikeet that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 5-15 Years is easier.
Health records you should insist on
Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Feeding a small bird without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the bird lobbies. A Dusky Lorikeet that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 5-15 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Is a Dusky Lorikeet a sensible choice for you in Lakkireddipalli?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Dusky Lorikeet will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Lakkireddipalli without much drama.
Weather, coat and the Andhra Pradesh year
the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important For a Dusky Lorikeet that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
What you will pay
Expect ₹62,167 upward, to around ₹62,167. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Dusky Lorikeet in Lakkireddipalli: local climate
Lakkireddipalli is hottest in April, averaging 39°C in the afternoon. A Dusky Lorikeet needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 16°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in September.
For a new Dusky Lorikeet bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, June, July, August, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 30 | 34 | 38 | 39 | 37 | 34 | 32 | 32 | 31 | 30 | 28 | 28 |
| Low °C | 16 | 17 | 21 | 24 | 25 | 24 | 23 | 22 | 22 | 21 | 19 | 16 |
| Rain mm | 5 | 4 | 14 | 31 | 71 | 70 | 87 | 95 | 135 | 133 | 84 | 22 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
