What is listed for Thamarassery is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Rottweiler Puppy you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a large dog, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Rottweiler Puppy are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
Health records you should insist on
Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a large dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Rottweiler Puppy will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the dog to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Rottweiler Puppy.
Is a Rottweiler Puppy a sensible choice for you in Thamarassery?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Rottweiler Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Thamarassery without much drama.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips For a Rottweiler Puppy that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
Rottweiler Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹27,992 to ₹27,992 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Rottweiler Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Rottweiler in Thamarassery: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 34°C. That is manageable for a Rottweiler, but watch it closely because a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 16°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from May to October, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Rottweiler puppy, the easiest months to arrive are November to April: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 29 | 32 | 34 | 32 | 29 | 26 | 25 | 25 | 26 | 26 | 26 | 27 |
| Low °C | 16 | 17 | 20 | 21 | 21 | 21 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 18 | 16 |
| Rain mm | 4 | 7 | 28 | 74 | 166 | 377 | 371 | 269 | 206 | 209 | 109 | 22 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Rottweiler Puppy
A practical checklist for a large dog in a Thamarassery flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a family friendly breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
