Buy Pug Puppy in Kozhikode, Kerala
What is listed for Kozhikode is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Pug Puppy you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Is a Pug Puppy a sensible choice for you in Kozhikode?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Pug Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Kozhikode without much drama.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a small dog notices both. the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Pug Puppy will barely register the change.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the dog to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Pug Puppy.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new small dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
What a Pug Puppy costs in Kozhikode
Between ₹18,715 and ₹18,715 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the dog is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Pug Puppy costs more up front and less in the first months.
Feeding a small dog without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the dog lobbies. A Pug Puppy that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 10-12 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Pug Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹18,715 to ₹18,715 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Pug Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Pug in Kozhikode: local climate
Summers here are mild, peaking at about 32°C in March, so heat is rarely the problem for a Pug that it is on the plains.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 25°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to October, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Pug puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to April: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 30 | 31 | 32 | 31 | 30 | 28 | 27 | 27 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 30 |
| Low °C | 25 | 26 | 27 | 28 | 28 | 27 | 26 | 26 | 26 | 26 | 26 | 25 |
| Rain mm | 5 | 10 | 33 | 94 | 219 | 497 | 459 | 346 | 243 | 240 | 130 | 28 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Pug Puppy | Apricot Color
Your week with a Pug Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Pug Puppy comes home.
