We place across Kozhikode and the wider Kerala region. If a small dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Pomeranian Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Kozhikode flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Pomeranian Puppy reads consistency as safety, and a settled dog learns faster.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
warm and humid, and the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the dog dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Is a Pomeranian Puppy a sensible choice for you in Kozhikode?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Pomeranian Puppy placements in Kozhikode than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Pomeranian Puppy arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a dog that seeks them out.
Feeding a small dog without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the dog lobbies. A Pomeranian Puppy that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 10-12 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
What you will pay
Expect ₹13,785 upward, to around ₹13,785. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-12 Years.
Health and handover
Every Pomeranian Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Pomeranian in Kozhikode: local climate
Summers here are mild, peaking at about 32°C in March, so heat is rarely the problem for a Pomeranian that it is on the plains.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 25°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to October, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections.
For a new Pomeranian puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to April: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 30 | 31 | 32 | 31 | 30 | 28 | 27 | 27 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 30 |
| Low °C | 25 | 26 | 27 | 28 | 28 | 27 | 26 | 26 | 26 | 26 | 26 | 25 |
| Rain mm | 5 | 10 | 33 | 94 | 219 | 497 | 459 | 346 | 243 | 240 | 130 | 28 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
