Feeding a small dog without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A small breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Is a Shih Tzu a sensible choice for you in Harohalli?

Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a playful Shih Tzu will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Harohalli without much drama.
