Buy Border Collie Puppy in Athni, Karnataka
We place across Athni and the wider Karnataka region. If a medium dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a medium dog, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Border Collie Puppy are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
Feeding a medium dog without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A medium breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Border Collie Puppy is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 10-12 Years.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a medium Border Collie Puppy to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the dog already has one place it considers its own.
Weather, coat and the Karnataka year
the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds For a Border Collie Puppy that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Border Collie Puppy; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
What you will pay
Expect ₹200,267 upward, to around ₹200,267. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-12 Years.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Border Collie in Athni: local climate
Athni is hottest in April, averaging 39°C in the afternoon. A Border Collie needs real protection from that because its double coat holds heat close to the body: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 15°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in July.
For a new Border Collie puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, June, August, September, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 35 | 38 | 39 | 38 | 31 | 29 | 29 | 29 | 30 | 30 | 31 |
| Low °C | 15 | 17 | 20 | 23 | 23 | 22 | 21 | 21 | 20 | 19 | 17 | 15 |
| Rain mm | 1 | 2 | 9 | 19 | 38 | 101 | 127 | 117 | 104 | 71 | 18 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Border Collie Puppy
A practical checklist for a medium dog in a Athni flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a family friendly breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
