We place across Athni and the wider Karnataka region. If a large dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Rottweiler Puppy reads consistency as safety, and a settled dog learns faster.
What a Rottweiler Puppy costs in Athni
The purchase is the small number. Over 10-12 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Rottweiler Puppy without mentioning that is selling, not advising.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new large dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Rottweiler Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Athni flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Health records you should insist on
Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a large dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Weather, coat and the Karnataka year
pleasant semi-tropical, and the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the dog dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Rottweiler Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹27,992 to ₹27,992 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Rottweiler Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Rottweiler in Athni: local climate
Athni is hottest in April, averaging 39°C in the afternoon. A Rottweiler needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 15°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in July.
For a new Rottweiler puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, June, August, September, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 35 | 38 | 39 | 38 | 31 | 29 | 29 | 29 | 30 | 30 | 31 |
| Low °C | 15 | 17 | 20 | 23 | 23 | 22 | 21 | 21 | 20 | 19 | 17 | 15 |
| Rain mm | 1 | 2 | 9 | 19 | 38 | 101 | 127 | 117 | 104 | 71 | 18 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
