Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Saint Bernard Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Veldurthy flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Health records you should insist on
Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a giant dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Saint Bernard Puppy reads consistency as safety, and a settled dog learns faster.
Is a Saint Bernard Puppy a sensible choice for you in Veldurthy?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Saint Bernard Puppy placements in Veldurthy than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
Weather, coat and the Andhra Pradesh year
The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a giant dog notices both. moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Saint Bernard Puppy will barely register the change.
Feeding a giant dog without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Saint Bernard Puppy will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Saint Bernard Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹39,369 to ₹39,369 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Saint Bernard Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Saint Bernard in Veldurthy: local climate
Veldurthy is hottest in April, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Saint Bernard needs real protection from that because its double coat holds heat close to the body and a giant body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 16°C, so cold is not a concern.
Most of the year's rain falls in September. Check for ticks after every walk; dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.
For a new Saint Bernard puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, August, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 35 | 38 | 40 | 40 | 34 | 32 | 32 | 30 | 30 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 16 | 18 | 22 | 25 | 26 | 24 | 23 | 22 | 22 | 21 | 18 | 16 |
| Rain mm | 5 | 2 | 13 | 24 | 59 | 96 | 110 | 115 | 157 | 97 | 26 | 5 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Saint Bernard Puppy
Your week with a Saint Bernard Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Saint Bernard Puppy comes home.
