We place across Puttur and the wider Andhra Pradesh region. If a giant dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
What a French Mastiff Puppy costs in Puttur
Expect ₹47,270 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.
Is a French Mastiff Puppy a sensible choice for you in Puttur?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly French Mastiff Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Puttur without much drama.
Weather, coat and the Andhra Pradesh year
The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a giant dog notices both. moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the French Mastiff Puppy will barely register the change.
Feeding a giant dog without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The French Mastiff Puppy will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a giant dog, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young French Mastiff Puppy are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the dog to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new French Mastiff Puppy.
What you will pay
Expect ₹47,270 upward, to around ₹47,270. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-12 Years.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a French Mastiff in Puttur: local climate
Puttur is hottest in April, averaging 39°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A French Mastiff needs real protection from that because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and a giant body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 17°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from October to November, and October is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new French Mastiff puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to January: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 29 | 33 | 37 | 39 | 38 | 35 | 34 | 34 | 32 | 31 | 28 | 27 |
| Low °C | 17 | 18 | 21 | 24 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 22 | 20 | 18 |
| Rain mm | 10 | 5 | 14 | 29 | 58 | 69 | 101 | 112 | 134 | 192 | 188 | 70 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for French Mastiff Puppy
Your week with a French Mastiff Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the French Mastiff Puppy comes home.
