What is listed for Puttur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Boxer Puppy you asked for and hear about it in six months.
What a Boxer Puppy costs in Puttur
The purchase is the small number. Over 10-12 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Boxer Puppy without mentioning that is selling, not advising.
Is a Boxer Puppy a sensible choice for you in Puttur?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Boxer Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Puttur without much drama.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Boxer Puppy will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Boxer Puppy reads consistency as safety, and a settled dog learns faster.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Boxer Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Puttur flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Boxer Puppy arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a dog that seeks them out.
Boxer Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹26,995 to ₹26,995 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Boxer Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Boxer Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a large dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Boxer in Puttur: local climate
Puttur is hottest in April, averaging 39°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Boxer needs real protection from that because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 17°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from October to November, and October is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Boxer puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to January: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 29 | 33 | 37 | 39 | 38 | 35 | 34 | 34 | 32 | 31 | 28 | 27 |
| Low °C | 17 | 18 | 21 | 24 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 22 | 20 | 18 |
| Rain mm | 10 | 5 | 14 | 29 | 58 | 69 | 101 | 112 | 134 | 192 | 188 | 70 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Boxer Puppy
Your week with a Boxer Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Boxer Puppy comes home.
