We place across Thirumalagiri and the wider Telangana region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
What a Senegal Parrot costs in Thirumalagiri
Between ₹42,931 and ₹42,931 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Senegal Parrot costs more up front and less in the first months.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Senegal Parrot comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Thirumalagiri flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Senegal Parrot.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Senegal Parrot arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.
Weather, coat and the Telangana year
mild tropical plateau, and comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Health records you should insist on
Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Senegal Parrot names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.
Senegal Parrot price, and the cost after it
₹42,931 to ₹42,931 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Senegal Parrot without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Senegal Parrot in Thirumalagiri: local climate
Thirumalagiri is hottest in May, averaging 39°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Senegal Parrot needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 14°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from August to September, and August is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Senegal Parrot bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, June, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 30 | 33 | 37 | 39 | 39 | 33 | 30 | 29 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 28 |
| Low °C | 14 | 17 | 20 | 24 | 26 | 23 | 22 | 21 | 21 | 19 | 16 | 14 |
| Rain mm | 6 | 5 | 19 | 26 | 35 | 103 | 149 | 163 | 157 | 86 | 14 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
