Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Moluccan Cockatoo names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Moluccan Cockatoo comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Telkapally flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

What a Moluccan Cockatoo costs in Telkapally

Between ₹311,626 and ₹311,626 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Moluccan Cockatoo costs more up front and less in the first months.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the Moluccan Cockatoo arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.

Is a Moluccan Cockatoo a sensible choice for you in Telkapally?

You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A large bird in a Telkapally apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Moluccan Cockatoo.

What you will pay

Expect ₹311,626 upward, to around ₹311,626. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Health and handover

Every Moluccan Cockatoo is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a large bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
