Feeding a medium bird without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A medium breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Yellow Naped Amazon comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Madanapur flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Weather, coat and the Telangana year

the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds For a Yellow Naped Amazon that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.

Is a Yellow Naped Amazon a sensible choice for you in Madanapur?

You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A medium bird in a Madanapur apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Yellow Naped Amazon.

Settling in with children and other pets

Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new medium bird entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.

What you will pay

Expect ₹94,020 upward, to around ₹94,020. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
