What is listed for Kohir is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Chattering Lorikeet you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Weather, coat and the Telangana year
mild tropical plateau, and the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
What a Chattering Lorikeet costs in Kohir
Expect ₹60,337 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Chattering Lorikeet is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Chattering Lorikeet; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Chattering Lorikeet comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Kohir flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Feeding a small bird without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the bird lobbies. A Chattering Lorikeet that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 5-15 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Chattering Lorikeet price, and the cost after it
₹60,337 to ₹60,337 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Chattering Lorikeet without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Chattering Lorikeet is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Chattering Lorikeet in Kohir: local climate
Kohir is hottest in May, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Chattering Lorikeet needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 13°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from July to September, and August is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Chattering Lorikeet bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, June, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 30 | 33 | 37 | 39 | 40 | 33 | 30 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 28 |
| Low °C | 14 | 16 | 20 | 24 | 26 | 23 | 21 | 21 | 20 | 18 | 15 | 13 |
| Rain mm | 6 | 5 | 19 | 26 | 35 | 116 | 169 | 186 | 169 | 80 | 14 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

A practical checklist for a small bird in a Kohir flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.

- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
