We place across Hathnoora and the wider Telangana region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Rosella Bird; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Is a Rosella Bird a sensible choice for you in Hathnoora?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Rosella Bird will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Hathnoora without much drama.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Rosella Bird reads consistency as safety, and a settled bird learns faster.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Rosella Bird arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.
What a Rosella Bird costs in Hathnoora
Expect ₹34,935 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.
Feeding a small bird without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Rosella Bird will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
What you will pay
Expect ₹34,935 upward, to around ₹34,935. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Rosella Bird in Hathnoora: local climate
Hathnoora is hottest in May, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Rosella Bird needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 14°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from July to September, and August is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Rosella Bird bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, June, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 30 | 33 | 37 | 39 | 40 | 33 | 30 | 29 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 28 |
| Low °C | 14 | 17 | 21 | 24 | 26 | 24 | 22 | 21 | 21 | 19 | 16 | 14 |
| Rain mm | 7 | 5 | 20 | 26 | 30 | 110 | 168 | 184 | 160 | 84 | 13 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Rosella Bird
Your week with a Rosella Bird, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the bird properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Rosella Bird comes home.
