We place across Bichkunda and the wider Telangana region. If a large bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Blue & Gold Macaw is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.
Weather, coat and the Telangana year
mild tropical plateau, and the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Is a Blue & Gold Macaw a sensible choice for you in Bichkunda?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Blue & Gold Macaw will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Bichkunda without much drama.
Feeding a large bird without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A large breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
Health records you should insist on
Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Blue & Gold Macaw names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.
What a Blue & Gold Macaw costs in Bichkunda
Between ₹130,187 and ₹130,187 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Blue & Gold Macaw costs more up front and less in the first months.
Blue & Gold Macaw price, and the cost after it
₹130,187 to ₹130,187 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Blue & Gold Macaw without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Blue & Gold Macaw is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a large bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Blue & Gold Macaw in Bichkunda: local climate
Bichkunda is hottest in May, averaging 42°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Blue & Gold Macaw needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 14°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from July to September, and August is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Blue & Gold Macaw bird, the easiest months to arrive are October to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 35 | 38 | 41 | 42 | 35 | 32 | 30 | 30 | 30 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 14 | 18 | 22 | 26 | 28 | 25 | 23 | 22 | 22 | 20 | 16 | 14 |

Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
