Buy Red Collared Lorikeet in Mettupalayam, Tamil Nadu
We place across Mettupalayam and the wider Tamil Nadu region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Feeding a small bird without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Red Collared Lorikeet will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Weather, coat and the Tamil Nadu year
moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips For a Red Collared Lorikeet that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a small Red Collared Lorikeet to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the bird already has one place it considers its own.
Is a Red Collared Lorikeet a sensible choice for you in Mettupalayam?
You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small bird in a Mettupalayam apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.
What a Red Collared Lorikeet costs in Mettupalayam
Expect ₹21,223 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Red Collared Lorikeet arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.
Red Collared Lorikeet price, and the cost after it
₹21,223 to ₹21,223 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Red Collared Lorikeet without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Red Collared Lorikeet in Mettupalayam: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 37°C. That is manageable for a Red Collared Lorikeet: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 17°C, so cold is not a concern.
Most of the year's rain falls in October. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Red Collared Lorikeet bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, May, August, September, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
