Buy Chattering Lorikeet in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu
We place across Coonoor and the wider Tamil Nadu region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Chattering Lorikeet that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 5-15 Years is easier.
What a Chattering Lorikeet costs in Coonoor
The purchase is the small number. Over 5-15 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Chattering Lorikeet without mentioning that is selling, not advising.
Health records you should insist on
Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Chattering Lorikeet names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.
Weather, coat and the Tamil Nadu year
moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips For a Chattering Lorikeet that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
Is a Chattering Lorikeet a sensible choice for you in Coonoor?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Chattering Lorikeet placements in Coonoor than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Chattering Lorikeet arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.
What you will pay
Expect ₹60,337 upward, to around ₹60,337. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.
Health and handover
Every Chattering Lorikeet is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Chattering Lorikeet in Coonoor: local climate
The city sits at about 1,746 m above sea level, so it runs cooler than the plains around it.
Summers here are mild, peaking at about 28°C in March, so heat is rarely the problem for a Chattering Lorikeet that it is on the plains.
Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 8°C. A light sweater helps a small Chattering Lorikeet on the coldest nights.
Most of the year's rain falls in October. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Chattering Lorikeet bird, the easiest months to arrive are March, April, May, August and September: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 22 | 25 | 28 | 28 | 25 | 21 | 20 | 21 | 21 | 21 | 20 | 20 |
| Low °C | 8 | 10 | 13 | 15 | 15 | 13 | 13 | 13 | 12 | 12 | 11 | 9 |
| Rain mm | 4 | 7 | 26 | 57 | 103 | 123 | 123 | 107 | 112 | 157 | 100 | 24 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
