Buy African Grey Parrot in Thamarassery, Kerala
What is listed for Thamarassery is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the African Grey Parrot you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Is a African Grey Parrot a sensible choice for you in Thamarassery?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more African Grey Parrot placements in Thamarassery than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
Feeding a medium bird without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A medium breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly African Grey Parrot that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 5-15 Years is easier.
What a African Grey Parrot costs in Thamarassery
The purchase is the small number. Over 5-15 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a African Grey Parrot without mentioning that is selling, not advising.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new African Grey Parrot.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
coastal tropical, and the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
African Grey Parrot price, and the cost after it
₹67,146 to ₹67,146 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a African Grey Parrot without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every African Grey Parrot is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a medium bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a African Grey Parrot in Thamarassery: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 34°C. That is manageable for a African Grey Parrot: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 16°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from May to October, and June is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new African Grey Parrot bird, the easiest months to arrive are November to April: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 29 | 32 | 34 | 32 | 29 | 26 | 25 | 25 | 26 | 26 | 26 | 27 |
| Low °C | 16 | 17 | 20 | 21 | 21 | 21 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 18 | 16 |
| Rain mm | 4 | 7 | 28 | 74 | 166 | 377 | 371 | 269 | 206 | 209 | 109 | 22 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
