We place across Paravur and the wider Kerala region. If a large bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Is a Scarlet Macaw a sensible choice for you in Paravur?

You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A large bird in a Paravur apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

What a Scarlet Macaw costs in Paravur

Expect ₹298,026 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.

Settling in with children and other pets

Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new large bird entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.

Feeding a large bird without guesswork

Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the bird lobbies. A Scarlet Macaw that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 5-15 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.

Weather, coat and the Kerala year

warm and humid, and the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a large bird, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Scarlet Macaw are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.

What you will pay

Expect ₹298,026 upward, to around ₹298,026. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Health and handover

Every Scarlet Macaw is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a large bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
