Buy Red Collared Lorikeet in Meenachil, Kerala

What is listed for Meenachil is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Red Collared Lorikeet you asked for and hear about it in six months.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Do not introduce a small Red Collared Lorikeet to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the bird already has one place it considers its own.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the Red Collared Lorikeet arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.

Health records you should insist on

Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.

Weather, coat and the Kerala year

coastal tropical, and the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

What a Red Collared Lorikeet costs in Meenachil

The purchase is the small number. Over 5-15 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Red Collared Lorikeet without mentioning that is selling, not advising.

Feeding a small bird without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A small breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

What you will pay

Expect ₹21,223 upward, to around ₹21,223. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
