Buy Blue Sided in Kuttanad, Kerala
What is listed for Kuttanad is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Blue Sided you asked for and hear about it in six months.
What a Blue Sided costs in Kuttanad
Between ₹7,062 and ₹7,062 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Blue Sided costs more up front and less in the first months.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention For a Blue Sided that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Blue Sided is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.
Feeding a small bird without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A small breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Blue Sided; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Is a Blue Sided a sensible choice for you in Kuttanad?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Blue Sided placements in Kuttanad than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
Blue Sided price, and the cost after it
₹7,062 to ₹7,062 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Blue Sided without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Blue Sided in Kuttanad: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 35°C. That is manageable for a Blue Sided: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 22°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to October, and June is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Blue Sided bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, April and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 33 | 35 | 35 | 33 | 31 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 22 | 23 | 25 | 26 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 22 |
| Rain mm | 9 | 19 | 41 | 104 | 223 | 444 | 395 | 309 | 251 | 290 | 149 | 29 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
