We place across Karthikappally and the wider Kerala region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Chattering Lorikeet is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
coastal tropical, and moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Chattering Lorikeet comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Karthikappally flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
What a Chattering Lorikeet costs in Karthikappally
Between ₹60,337 and ₹60,337 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Chattering Lorikeet costs more up front and less in the first months.
Is a Chattering Lorikeet a sensible choice for you in Karthikappally?
You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small bird in a Karthikappally apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Chattering Lorikeet; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Chattering Lorikeet price, and the cost after it
₹60,337 to ₹60,337 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Chattering Lorikeet without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Chattering Lorikeet is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Chattering Lorikeet in Karthikappally: local climate
Summers here are mild, peaking at about 31°C in March, so heat is rarely the problem for a Chattering Lorikeet that it is on the plains.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 26°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to November, and June is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Chattering Lorikeet bird, the easiest months to arrive are December to March: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
