Buy Gallah Cockatoo in Chavakkad, Kerala

We place across Chavakkad and the wider Kerala region. If a medium bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Gallah Cockatoo.

Is a Gallah Cockatoo a sensible choice for you in Chavakkad?

Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Gallah Cockatoo will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Chavakkad without much drama.

Weather, coat and the Kerala year

warm and humid, and the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

Settling in with children and other pets

Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Gallah Cockatoo is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Gallah Cockatoo comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Chavakkad flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Health records you should insist on

Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a medium bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.

What you will pay

Expect ₹229,870 upward, to around ₹229,870. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
