Buy Cockatiel in Yellapur, Karnataka

What is listed for Yellapur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Cockatiel you asked for and hear about it in six months.

Is a Cockatiel a sensible choice for you in Yellapur?

Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a gentle Cockatiel will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Yellapur without much drama.

What a Cockatiel costs in Yellapur

Between ₹9,000 and ₹9,000 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Cockatiel costs more up front and less in the first months.

Health records you should insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Cockatiel; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Cockatiel comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Yellapur flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Cockatiel.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the Cockatiel arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.

What you will pay

Expect ₹9,000 upward, to around ₹9,000. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 15-20 Years.

Health and handover

Every Cockatiel is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
