Is a Jenday Conure a sensible choice for you in Varthur?

Apartment living: what actually matters

Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Jenday Conure that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 5-15 Years is easier.

Settling in with children and other pets

Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Jenday Conure is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a small bird notices both. the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Jenday Conure will barely register the change.

What you will pay

Expect ₹9,640 upward, to around ₹9,640. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
