We place across Udupi and the wider Karnataka region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Feeding a small bird without guesswork

Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Blue Monk will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a small bird notices both. comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Blue Monk will barely register the change.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Blue Monk names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.

Is a Blue Monk a sensible choice for you in Udupi?

You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small bird in a Udupi apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

What a Blue Monk costs in Udupi

Between ₹26,131 and ₹26,131 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Blue Monk costs more up front and less in the first months.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a small bird, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Blue Monk are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.

What you will pay

Expect ₹26,131 upward, to around ₹26,131. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Health and handover

Every Blue Monk is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
