What is listed for Tikota is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Blue & Gold Macaw you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a large bird, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Blue & Gold Macaw are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
Feeding a large bird without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the bird lobbies. A Blue & Gold Macaw that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 5-15 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Is a Blue & Gold Macaw a sensible choice for you in Tikota?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Blue & Gold Macaw placements in Tikota than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
Health records you should insist on
Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a large bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Weather, coat and the Karnataka year
pleasant semi-tropical, and the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Blue & Gold Macaw arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.
Blue & Gold Macaw price, and the cost after it
₹130,187 to ₹130,187 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Blue & Gold Macaw without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Blue & Gold Macaw is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a large bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Blue & Gold Macaw in Tikota: local climate
Tikota is hottest in April, averaging 39°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Blue & Gold Macaw needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 13°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in September.
For a new Blue & Gold Macaw bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, June, July, August, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 30 | 34 | 37 | 39 | 39 | 32 | 30 | 30 | 30 | 30 | 29 | 29 |
| Low °C | 14 | 16 | 20 | 24 | 24 | 22 | 21 | 20 | 20 | 18 | 15 | 13 |
| Rain mm | 2 | 2 | 9 | 17 | 33 | 82 | 94 | 95 | 124 | 74 | 16 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
