Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a African Grey Parrot comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Tikota flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A African Grey Parrot reads consistency as safety, and a settled bird learns faster.

Is a African Grey Parrot a sensible choice for you in Tikota?

Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more African Grey Parrot placements in Tikota than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.

Feeding a medium bird without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A medium breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a medium bird notices both. the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the African Grey Parrot will barely register the change.

What you will pay

Expect ₹67,146 upward, to around ₹67,146. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
